Our Kennel
Seamrog (Shamrock) is a plant with leaves which look much like a three leaf clover, originally from Ireland . There is a story about how this little leaf was used by St Patrick to explain the meaning of God's threefold, The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. Three in one. You can also say the threefold represents Friendship, brotherhood and peace. This is our meaning of our prefix.
We bought our first dog in 1978 but it wasn't until 1989 thatwe got our first Wheaten. And from that day nothing has been the same. “A world without a Wheaten is an unperfected world” our daughter says.
We try hard to breed with care and thorough planning. We like to see an even quality out through all of our breeding before an “elite”-breeding. We rather have 7 CC-winners than one dog with 7 CCs'.
We have up to date bred almost 30 National Champions and about another 15 CC-winners. We have used four different blood-lines of bitches (pedigrees) and a new bitch for a fifth line was bought during 2004.
We like to show and very often you can see Seamrog-breedergroups in the ring. Together with our buyers we try to encourage the “team”feeling. It is very important to us to have a social side to show business. Share joy with others. Often we stay after the show and have some picnic together before driving home.
We usually have about three litters a year. We try hard to find new material to breed from and we have used studdogs from different countries.
